How much did the 2023 Singapore Classic champion win? Final leaderboard and prize money payouts explored
Ockie Styrdom won the 2023 Singapore Classic on Sunday, February 12. The South African golfer beat Sami Valimaki to take the victory at Laguna National GC in Singapore. Apart from the title, the golfer bagged the winner’s share of $340,000 from the $2,000,000 purse.
With the Singapore Classic title, Styrdom became the first South African to win a DP World Tour event. The golfer went up against Valimaki at the 18th under with the prospect of a play-off and came out on top with a one-shot lead. Strydom earned his second-career DP World Tour win with a huge final round of 63.
The golfer also defeated overnight leader Jeunghun Wang, who finished in a tie for third with Marcel Schneider and Alejandro Del Rey.
2023 Singapore Classic final leaderboard and prize money
Ockie Styrdom won the winner’s share of $340,000 from the $2,000,000 purse. Apart from the paycheck, the golfer also won 16.5 Official World Golf Ranking points and 460 Race to Dubai points at the Singapore Classic. Meanwhile, runner-up Sami Valimaki settled for the $220,000 prize.
Alejandro Del Rey, Marcel Schneider and Jeunghun Wang shared T3. The golfers bagged $103,166 for their efforts. The Singapore Classic had a 32-hole cut, which saw only 69 of 132 starting players finish the event.
Alexander Levy finished last on the leaderboard and returned home with a $4,380 paycheck.
