How much will 2023 LIV Golf Tucson winner get? Prize purse and winner’s share explored

LIV Golf is back this week. After a successful outing at the El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Course in Mexico, the Saudi-backed series is currently set to be held at The Gallery Golf Club in Tucson, USA for its second event of the season.

Set to tee off on Thursday, March 16, LIV Golf Tucson will see golfers from the series’ 12 teams take on each other for the top prize.

Second, of the LIV Golf League’s first of 14 events in 2023, LIV Golf Tucson will have a 48-player field, headlined by the likes of Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, and more.

Similar to the inaugural tournament of the season, this week’s event will also have a $25 million prize purse on offer.

LIV Golf Tucson prize money

LIV Golf Tucson will have a $25 million prize purse. According to LIV's prize money distribution chart, the winning player will bag $4,000,000 for the title. This is 20 percent payout from the purse.

Unlike the PGA Tour, the LIV event will not have a cut after 36 holes and all 48 players on the field will return in paychecks. Golfers will divide the $20 million individual portion of the prize pool among themselves.

Meanwhile, three teams finishing top in the 12-team concurrent format will split $5 million in prize money. The winning team will get $3 million while the runner-up will take home $1.5 million. The third-placed team will get $500,000, each of which the teams will divide equally among members.

LIV doesn’t award players with Official World Golf Ranking points. The Rebel Series does not qualify for points and only follows its own point structure, which will add up to the league’s season-long bonus system.
