“How R some people OK w this nonsense”: LIV Golf star Anthony Kim speaks out on Junior Olympics scandal

Anthony Kim has been vocal against trans athletes. Recently, he made another post opposing trans athletes following a scandal at the Junior Olympics.

Kim, a three-time winner on the PGA Tour, had been out of action for more than ten years. However, earlier this year, he surprised everyone by joining LIV Golf, marking his return to professional golf.

A recent video featuring young athlete Anna Lee Wilson went viral, in which she spoke about how she lost to a trans athlete in the Cashmere Junior Olympics. Anthony Kim also reacted to the controversy, calling for a ban on trans athletes in women's sports.

"This young lady is wat all girls should strive 2 B like," he wrote. "This male who “won” & his family must have #MentalHealth issue 2 think this is ok. How R some people OK w this nonsense🤯. That’s y we must #MAGA @realDonaldTrump get these dudes out of women’s sports"

History of Anthony Kim's comments against trans athletes

This isn't the first time Anthony Kim has taken a dig at trans athletes. Last month, he made a couple of posts opposing them on his social media account. He called out LGBTQ+ campaigner Peter Tatchell for backing a trans athlete.

"Guy has a d*** and dad to two kids and wants to race women who have worked incredibly hard to compete but we all have to sit here & act like this s*** is normal. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! #mentalillness is no joke. Keep men out of women’s sports," he wrote.

Besides that, he also made comments against Algerian boxer Imane Khalif during her Olympic campaign.

"We live in a crazy world where it’s acceptable for a male to beat up a female in the Olympics? 4 everyone that thinks it’s ok i have a #mentalhealth facility that has helped me u should check out. As a #girldad its infuriating that hitting a woman is ok 2 anyone," he wrote last month.

The 39-year-old golfer was last seen at LIV Golf Nashville, where he tied for 46th. He played the 2024 season as a wild card and competed in eleven events. However, he failed to achieve a single top-ten finish. The T36 finish at Greenbrier was his best result this year.
