“I have a very active lower body”: Paige Spiranac shares the hip movement tip that completely changed her swing
Paige Spiranac recently uploaded a new golf tutorial video on her YouTube channel where she shared her advice for fans on improving their game. The American former golfer is very active on social media and enjoys a significant fan base.
In her new video, Spiranac offers tips on how to prepare for a golf tournament. She is preparing for a big competitive golf event which will take place at the end of August, as per the golf influencer. She revealed that she has started her practice sessions, although she did not disclose the name of the event she is preparing for.
Sharing her practice routine, Spiranac also discussed her hip movement while taking a shot. She demonstrated her swing and explained to her fans how she moves her body while executing it.
"I've been working on - it has been the secret sauce to better ball striking for me, and that's how my hips move through the ball. So, what I - you guys know, I have a very active lower body, but I tend to do this. I tend to get up here and squat, and this hip turns back in on me. This one gets in a really awkward position, and then I look like this [indicating her posture], and no one wants that," Paige Spiranac said [at 14:45].
"So, what Jonathan (Yarwood, golf instructor) told me is that I feel like I'm bumping my hip outward but not directly to my left side. Almost at a diagonal angle, a diagonal angle that when I'm at the top, instead of bumping just straight left, it's almost straight out into a diagonal almost to the point of where my alignment stick is," she continued.
Spiranac uploaded the video on August 8 and so far, it has garnered around 45,000 views. She has around 452K subscribers on her YouTube channel.
Paige Spiranac on her upcoming schedule this month - "August is going to be extremely busy"
Paige Spiranac shared details about her upcoming golf event in a video she uploaded to her YouTube channel. The American golfer-turned-social media influencer stated that it was an "important" tournament for her.
Spiranac also revealed that the event will be played in a stroke play format, and since she usually doesn't compete in this format, she has been working to improve her game.
"This one is an important event. It's a stroke play event which I don't normally play stroke play events, especially under pressure. And so, it's really important that I feel super confident with my game. But unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time because my August is going to be extremely busy," Paige Spiranac said [at 00:19].
Spiranac began playing professional golf shortly after graduating from San Diego State University. She competed on the Cactus Tour and has won a single professional event during her career. She later transitioned to modeling and social media influencing after failing to get an LPGA Tour entry card.
