"I have decided 2 not give a sh**" - LIV Golf's Anthony Kim's doubles down on his polarising takes on the US Presidential candidates
LIV Golf's Anthony Kim recently reflected on people's opinions about his stance on the 2024 U.S. presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The American golfer is quite active on social media and is well-known for sharing his views online.
In recent days, Kim has been vocal about the U.S. presidential candidates, but his posts have received mixed reactions from the public. Recently, the LIV golfer shared another post expressing his decision to no longer care about others' opinions, emphasizing his "freedom of speech." He tweeted:
"I guess people don’t like my opinions on @realDonaldTrump & #KamalaHarris 😂After some deep thought I have decided 2not give a s**t if u don’t like it🤷♂️. We live in the 🇺🇸 where there is freedom of speech right? Btw practiced gr8 2day #girldad #gratitude #mentalhealth #Trump2024."
Kim has previously posted about the U.S. presidential candidates, writing:
"All the #kamalaharris word salads in the world can’t explain this. This isn’t about left or right this is about common sense. @realDonaldTrump is a man of the people & the other candidate is slow🤷♂️😂. Btw @livgolf_league finals 2day. #girldad #gratitude #mentalhealth #Trump2024."
Notably, Anthony Kim had stayed out of the spotlight and away from golf for over a decade. However, he made a highly anticipated comeback to LIV Golf as a wildcard earlier this year and has since been very active on social media.
"Congrats 2 the Ripper GC"- Anthony Kim congratulates 2024 LIV Golf Team Championship
Anthony Kim congratulated the 2024 LIV Golf Team Championship winner, Ripper GC, as the third season of the Saudi-backed circuit came to a close. Cameron Smith's Ripper GC claimed the Team Championship by defeating 4 Aces GC and Iron Heads GC in the final on Sunday, September 22. Following the tournament, Kim took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to congratulate the team on their victory, writing:
"Congrats 2 the @rippergc_. Media like @GolfChannel that say LIV isn’t thriving & trending upwards R prob ok w men playing women’s sports🤷♂️. Thankful H.E. and MAJED 4 their support in my journey back @livgolf_league. 1% better 2day! @excrgolf #girldad #gratitude #mentalhealth"
Anthony Kim also participated in the third season of LIV Golf; however, he did not play for any team, competing as a wildcard instead. He competed in 11 tournaments this year on the Saudi circuit but struggled with his performance, finishing 56th in the season standings.
Kim began his campaign at the Jeddah event, where he finished 53rd. His struggles persisted throughout the season, and he failed to break into the top 30 in any events. His best finish of the season was 36th at the Greenbrier event.
The former PGA Tour star last competed at the LIV Golf Chicago event, where he finished 42nd. Since he was not part of any LIV Golf team, he did not participate in the season-ending Team Championship.
