“I just see this thing exploding” - Bryson DeChambeau details LIV Golf’s progress after 100 rounds, says he’s waiting for a "domino effect"
Bryson DeChambeau will play at the LIV Golf Greenbrier event after failing to make the cutline in his last event, the Open Championship. LIV Golf Greenbrier will take place from August 16 to August 18 and before the event, DeChambeau joined a press conference at the Old White Course.
Speaking to the press, DeChambeau reflected upon the progress LIV Golf has made since its inception in 2022, describing the players' and teams' role in it. He also added that in the next 10 years, the LIV Golf League will expand even more.
“When I was having conversations back in 2022 and what-not with where this was going to go, I expected there to be a lot of progress, but the progress has been amazingly awesome, from everything that we've done, everything that each team has individually done, the players, what they've done to make this league what it is now today is quite impressive. As I look at a five-year vision, 10-year vision, I just see this thing exploding here shortly,” DeChambeau said.
He continued, “When people start to see the true value that we're bringing, that intrinsic value is only going to exponentiate over the course of time, which is what I'm excited for. I'm waiting for that kind of domino effect…it's some of the highest level golf…I'm super excited for these 100 rounds and how they've gone.”
The LIV Golf League will play its 100th round at the LIV Golf Greenbrier and all 13 teams will tee up on Friday.
