"I just trusted myself"- A Lim Kim seals Lotte Championship victory
On Sunday, November 10, A Lim Kim carded a 4-under 68 in the final round of the Lotte Championship, beating Nataliya Guseva by a two-stroke margin. This was her second win on the LPGA Tour and her first in four years.
Kim entered the final day at Hoakalei Country Club with a one-stroke lead. She began the day with a bogey on the second hole but quickly recovered with three birdies over the next four holes. She made another bogey on the eighth but collected three more birdies on the back nine to seal the title.
During the winner's press conference, A Lim Kim reflected on her bogey on the second hole and her quick recovery.
"It did not really go well to be honest at the beginning," she said. "I just told myself I'm going do what I set out to do. I just trusted myself."
She added that her focus was always on process and routine and not on the result.
"Always process same as every week. This is more better than last week, that reason more comfortable playing result I think so, yeah," she added.

The purse size for the 2024 Lotte Championship was $3,000,000 and A Lim Kim bagged $450,000 as a winner's share. Nataliya Guseva received $282,977 for a runner-up finish.
