“I’ll see you on day 3-6-5” – John Daly takes a funny jibe at Bryson DeChambeau for his ‘ace over mansion’ challenge
John Daly has taken a hilarious jibe at Bryson DeChambeau for his ace-over-the-mansion challenge. The LIV golfer, widely known for his unique content on social media, has taken another difficult but interesting golf challenge. He has been aiming to make a hole-in-one over his Dallas mansion every day until he succeeds.
DeChambeau started the challenge last week. It’s been 14 days. Good Boy Vodka, a popular beverage brand, shared a funny reel featuring Daly inspired by DeChambeau's hole-in-one challenge with the caption:
"John Daly pulling up on day 365 ripping darts and downing Good Boys barefoot."
Daly reshared the reel on his Instagram story, tagging DeChambeau.
"I'll see you on day 3-6-5," he wrote.
The hole-in-one over-the-mansion challenge has been pretty difficult for DeChambeau. He has come very close to achieving it but has struggled at the last moment. On day 13, he had a good opportunity to make the ace as his seventh shot was very close to the hole, but unfortunately, he missed it again. Similarly, on day 14, he came close to completing the challenge but missed it four times, including on shots 4th, 7th, 11th, and 14th.
The LIV player now has 2 million followers on Instagram, while his reels of the challenge have also received enormous views. The day 14 reel has 3.7 million views, day 13 garnered 6.7 million, while his most popular is of day 11, having 8.2 million views.
John Daly collaborated with Bryson DeChambeau for his popular Break 50 challenge
Earlier this year, Bryson DeChambeau was in the news for another popular golf series called Break 50. The American golfer tried to play 18 holes in 50 shots and collaborated with renowned personalities including Donald Trump, Paige Spiranac, and Sergio Garcia.
DeChambeau also played the challenge with John Daly. They had an amazing outing on the greens and shared insightful tips about the game and golf gear. They also talked about bigger grips, which DeChambeau uses during his matches. Speaking of the big grips, Daly said (via Golf.com):
“It’s all about trying to teach amateurs how to play golf. Get fitted with your grip, not your clubs. The smaller the grip is — if you put your hands on a grip, and you take it back, and there’s a gap between your left arm and your right hand, you’re screwed. That means you’re not controlling the golf club. So go get fitted for grips. Nobody does that.”
The video has around 6 million views on YouTube. DeChambeau’s most popular Break 50 challenge video was with Trump, which has garnered around 13 million views.
