"I'm so back baby!" - Max Homa delighted as he takes on Justin Thomas on the greens

Justin Thomas and Max Homa are in Japan to play the Zozo Championship. The fall schedule on the PGA Tour is here, which means that the amount of star players has slowed down, but several are in the field for this week's event. That includes Homa and Thomas, who took each other on in a friendly short-game matchup before the tournament began.

Homa chipped a ball up to the pin, and it could be heard striking it and falling into the cup. Thomas couldn't believe it, and Homa ran around in celebration. Someone with them lamented that they'd filmed every shot except that one.

Homa shouted:

"I'm so back, baby! God, there's nothing. Thank you, God! Nothing in the world that feels better than that. I still got another ball. God, it tried so hard. It was toilet bowling so hard."

Thomas couldn't match Homa's shot, giving his companion a victory. He joked that Homa's shooting either went in or didn't even come close. Thomas' final shot missed.

The two will be among the headliners at the Zozo Championship in Japan this Thursday and will tee off with Rickie Fowler, Sahith Theegala, Hideki Matsuyama, and others.

Max Homa enjoyed a baseball win in Japan

Max Homa is in Japan for the Zozo Championship. He is from Burbank, California, and is a Los Angeles Dodgers fan. So even when the Dodgers lost the potential NLCS-clinching victory in New York, he saw the silver lining. Since he was in Japan last night, he'd get to watch a Dodgers game in the country.

The team is popular there thanks to Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, two Japanese standouts. Homa said on X:

"The good news about a Dodgers loss? I get to watch the next game in Japan. And from what I've heard, that Ohtani guy is big in Japan."

The Dodgers played last night in LA, and Homa watched from Japan. This time, they won and secured a berth in the World Series. That won't begin until Friday, but Homa may still be in Japan to catch that game.

If Max Homa makes the cutline, he will be in Japan to watch the series' first two games. The third occurs on Monday after he will have likely left. If he misses the cut on Friday, Homa might be flying back home while the Dodgers play their first game.
