"I'm playing on house money"- Adam Scott looks ahead despite disastrous round that lost him the lead at the BMW Championship

Adam Scott remains confident for the Sunday finale despite a bit of a hiccup on the third day of the BMW Championship.

On Saturday, August 24, Scott entered the third round of the BMW Championship at 13-under. However, he had a rough start to the day, sinking two bogeys and a double bogey in the first four holes and shooting a 40 on the front nine. He managed to recover somewhat on the back nine, picking up three birdies but still finished the day with a 2-over 74.

During the post-round interview, Adam Scott appeared optimistic despite the challenging day.

"Look, I love my position," he said. "I feel like, again, a bit like yesterday, I'm playing on house money, and I'm right in this golf tournament. I don't know how many times, too, this year I reckon I've been in contention going into Sunday, so I'm excited for tomorrow."

Reflecting on his performance, the former World No. 1 said he didn't feel he did much wrong.

"A couple of drives were just not quite right, and a three-putt, and all of a sudden I'm kind of chasing," he continued. "I really struggled mostly on the greens today. They were just so different from yesterday's round speed-wise and firmness and look and everything. Felt like I was on a different course almost, and I just battled that most of the round."
"The good shots I hit, I didn't really get the reward. I'm in a good spot in the end of it to be one back," he added.

Following the third round, Scott is at 11-under, one shot behind Keegan Bradley. Bradley shot a 2-under 70 in the third round to move to the top after 54 holes.

Adam Scott is paired with Keegan Bradley for the final round of the BMW Championship. The duo will tee off on Sunday, August 25, at 1:30 pm ET as the final pair to resume play in the final round.

The final round of the BMW Championship will begin at 9:25 am ET, with Eric Cole and Sahith Theegala being the first pair to tee off. For the uninitiated, only the top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings will qualify for the Tour Championship next week.
