“I wasn’t in the right frame of mind”: Tiger Woods claims he couldn't “sleep at all” after Donald Trump’s assassination attempt

Tiger Woods will be making his return to the golf course for the first time since the 2024 US Open at the Open Championship 2024. Ahead of the event, Woods spoke about the attempted assassination of US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

During a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13th, a gunshot wounded Trump's right ear. The incident has sent shockwaves across the world and several famous personalities from the sport of golf reacted to the incident as well. During an interview with BBC, Tiger Woods said:

“I didn’t accomplish a lot because I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. It was a long night and that’s all we watched the entire time on the way over here. I didn’t sleep at all on the flight and then we just got on the golf course.”

Tiger Woods' former coach Hank Haney also reacted to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. In a tweet, Haney took a shot at US President Joe Biden for not speaking on the incident. The US President, however, did speak about the assassination attempt and called it "sick."
