Ian Poulter sets up a pub at LIV Golf UK, inviting fans to drink 3.2% ABV beer for $9.91
LIV golfer Ian Poulter has set up a pub at the LIV Golf UK event, inviting fans to enjoy 3.2% ABV beer for just $9.91. The English golfer is gearing up to compete at this week's LIV Golf UK event, which is scheduled to start on Friday, July 26.
Ahead of the event, Ian Poulter gave a tour of his team’s Majesticks GC unique pub at the JCB Golf Country Club. The team has built a small pub with terrace dining, offering a direct view of the ninth hole. Fans can enjoy the exciting LIV Golf event from the venue while sipping on drinks.
In addition to the stunning view, the pub also offers fabulous drinks to fans. The menu includes beer, spirits, cocktails, wine, soft drinks, water, and snacks. They are serving Damm Lemon beer (3.2% ABV) for $9.91 (£7.70), with a half-pint available for $5.41. The menu also features Complot session beer and Estrella Damm (4.6%) at the same rate as the Damm Lemon.
Spirits and mixers offer three options: Spirit & Mixer, Gin & Tonic, and Spirit & Mixer. These are available in single and double servings. Cocktails include Pimms, Aperol Spritz, and Paloma (250 ml).
Wine is priced at $10.29 and includes three options: Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, and Malbec. Snacks such as crisps and nuts are available for approximately $2.57 each.
Ian Poulter prepares for home ground with custom gloves
The LIV Golf event is scheduled to take place this week on Ian Poulter's home ground. As he prepares to compete at this UK event, he has had some custom gloves made.
In a conversation with Golf Monthly's Joe Ferguson, Ian Poulter explained the reasons for his new FootJoy gloves. He said (via Golf Monthly):
“I travel with all my own gloves. FootJoy makes all my gloves for me. If I put a standard medium-large glove on, they end up being too short on the wrist. The glove being short in the hand annoys me and they feel way too small. If I put a large glove on, they become way too big in the fingers," he said.
“FootJoy has essentially moved the elasticated band down by 10 millimetres to make it longer in the palm,” Poulter added.
Ian Poulter has been playing on the Saudi Circuit since its inception. However, he is still seeking his first Major win on the circuit. In 2024, Poulter has played in ten events so far and has only one finish in the top 10. He currently sits at number 45 in the season standings.
The LIV Golf event will take place over three days and will conclude with the finale on Sunday, July 28. It's the 11th event of the LIV Golf 2024 season.
