“If jet lag was a swing”: Max Homa roasts fan's golf skills on X
US golfer Max Homa didn't turn down an opportunity when a fan challenged him to roast the latter's swing. Homa obliged and reshared the video with an amusing response.
Max Homa is known to always have a savage response up his sleeve. A fan named, Kyle Wych, recently called on this power after he posted a super slow-motion video of his swing in an indoor arena. He asked Homa to roast his swing saying: "Roast this Max Homa" with a laughing emoji. The golfer then had the most hilarious roast for the video as he said:
"If jet lag was a swing."
Wych was quick to respond to Homa saying, "Bro.. it’s slow-mo," with several laughing emojis. The US golfer just replied with an "Oh" to Wych.
"I was waiting on a rules official for 15 mins," - When Max Homa clapped back at a critic for his slow play
Max Homa had taken a lengthy break from X earlier this year, however, he jumped back on the site during the BMW Championship in August. He responded to a user on social media accusing him of slow play at the tournament.
In a straight no-nonsense manner, Homa clapped back at the criticism, clarifying why he had to wait so long to start the game. At Castle Pines, the US golfer was waiting for the official to take a call. Min Woo Lee had queued up behind him and was using his phone as they waited for the official to make a ruling. However, golf analyst Matt Gannon called Homa "the most unserious player on tour" and blamed him for slow play.
"Si woo legit on his phone while he waits for the most unserious player on tour to hit his shot. going on 15 minutes...," wrote Gannon.
The 34-year-old golfer replied saying:
"I was waiting on a rules official for 15 mins have a great day Matt keep up the awesome videos!"
Homa was last seen at the Nedbank Golf Challenge at Gary Player Golf Course in Sun City, South Africa. He placed T14 with a score of 3-over. The six-time PGA Tour winner has struggled with his form this season.
However, he did enjoy some highs, as he placed T3 at the 2024 Masters marking his first top-5 Major finish. The Scottsdale resident also hit a 477-yard drive at The Sentry recording the longest drive in the PGA Tour's ShotLink phase. He was also a part of the winning US team at the 2024 Presidents Cup in Montreal, Canada.
