In pics: Scottie Scheffler takes a day out in Paris ahead of 2024 Olympics golf

Scottie Scheffler has arrived in Paris ahead of the 2024 Olympics. However, ahead of the golf event, he decided to explore Paris and have a family day out.

Scottie Scheffler, the world's No. 1 golfer at the moment, is set to represent the USA in his first-ever Olympics. He is entering the 60-player field at Le Golf National as the favorite to win the gold medal.

On Sunday, July 28, Scheffler shared a picture with his wife and son Bennett, announcing their arrival in Paris for the 2024 Olympics.

"Made it to Paris & Bennett loved the Louvre 😂 #parisolympics," he wrote in caption.

The two-time Masters Tournament winner also shared a couple of photographs of French delicacies on his Instagram story.

"Crêpes in Paris are 🔥," he wrote.

According to Fox Sports, Scheffler is the oddsmakers' favorite to win the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics, with odds of +310 at Le Golf National. He has been on a winning spree this season, having claimed six titles so far, including the Masters Tournament and the Players Championship.

Another American, Xander Schauffele, is listed at +600 to defend his gold medal. He has been in great form throughout the season, and the two major championship wins in the past two months have given him an extra boost.

In addition to Scheffler and Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark are the other two Americans competing in the men's golf event at the 2024 Olympics. Nelly Korda, Rose Zhang, and Lilia Vu will represent the US in the women's golf event. Korda will defend her gold in the women's event.

Scottie Scheffler and 59 other golfers will start their journey at the 2024 Olympics on Thursday, August 1. A total of 60 players will compete in the 72-hole stroke play event at Le Golf National.
