Curry will also be making his Olympic debut. Curry is part of a team that includes LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, Kevin Durant, Jason Tatum, Joel Embiid, and other NBA stars.

Morikawa and Clark will join heavy favorites Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele on the Olympic golf field in Paris. The women's field will include Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu, and Rose Zhang.

The Olympic golf event will be played at Le Golf National from August 1-10. Men will play from 1 to 4, while women will play from 7 to 10.

How Morikawa and Clark will get to Paris 2024

The qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics was determined by the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). Each country could enter up to two players, which could be increased to four if they were all ranked in the top 15.

This was the case for the United States, which had several players in the top 15. They selected their top four players. Clark (5th) and Morikawa (6th) were third and fourth in the American order.

Morikawa has played 18 PGA Tour events in the 2024 season. He has seven top-10 finishes, including a tie for second at the Memorial Tournament: his best finish of the year.

Morikawa is coming off a T16 finish at the Open Championship. He has not missed the cut in his last 10 starts and has five top-10 finishes.

Clark, meanwhile, has played in 17 events with one win (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am) and two second-place finishes. He has three other top-10 finishes.

Despite these results, Clark has struggled with his game this season. These problems have caused him to miss the cut in three out of four majors (Masters, PGA Championship, Open Championship). He made the cut at the US Open but finished T56.

From April to July, Clark played nine tournaments with five missed cuts and two top 10s. His best finish during this period was third place at the RBC Heritage.

These struggles have led many to believe Clark should not have made the Olympic team. This section of fans wanted Bryson DeChambeau to be selected instead.
