In Pictures: Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red opens first store to sell $500 t-shirts
Earlier this year, American golf legend Tiger Woods ended his 27-year partnership with Nike and launched his apparel line named "Sun Day Red." Woods' apparel line has everything golf right from T-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts, shorts, pants, joggers, and even golf gloves.
While Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red created a lot of buzz when launched, the apparel line has once again made headlines. On Friday, October 11, Sun Day Red's handle and Tiger Woods announced on Instagram the opening of its first store at Pebble Beach. The caption of the post read:
"For the first time, Sun Day Red is available to shop in person - exclusively at Pebble Beach. Tiger’s connection with Pebble Beach is significant, not only to him, but golf as a whole – and there’s no other place Sun Day Red would choose to have its first retail experience. Open daily from 9 AM – 6:30 PM, located at 1700 17 Mile Drive, Pebble Beach, CA."

In the post on Instagram, fans can see the entrance of the store being displayed along with the products for sale. One such product that can be seen in the images is the 3L Short Sleeve Rain Shirt, which costs $500.
The opening of this store comes after Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red was recently accused of unlawfully hijacking the logo of another brand. The brand in question is Tigeraire, who filed a notice of opposition with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
In response, Tiger Woods and TaylorMade, who collaborated with the American golf legend on his apparel line Sun Day Red, countersued Tigeraire. Since then, there has been no update about the case.
Tiger Woods spoke about his brand Sun Day Red in detail some time ago
When Tiger Woods announced he was ending his partnership with Nike, it shocked many in the world of golf. After all, Woods and Nike, in their 27 years together, experienced a lot of success. However, the 48-year-old ended the partnership and unveiled Sun Day Red at the Genesis Invitational earlier this year.
Recently, Tiger Woods spoke in detail about his brand. In a video released by Sun Day Red, he was seen discussing the appareal.
"I think the perfect garment is nothing. It's about freedom and it's about not having restrictions, but it's also if you get a garment that actually allows you to perform at a higher level than just in your birthday suit, then I think that that's something that's powerful because at the end of the day to me, winning golf tournaments is important and I don't want anything to inhibit me from winning golf tournaments."
Overall, in a short period, Woods has gotten a lot of attention on Sun Day Red. However, it's also important to note that back in May, when the products were made available for sale, the brand was criticized by many fans on social media for its high prices.
