“It's too angry after the round” - Haeran Ryu details coming back from her third-round meltdown to win the inaugural FM Championship

Haeran Ryu made an incredible comeback on Sunday, September 1, to win the inaugural FM Championship after shooting a 78 the previous day. She said that she was quite angry after the first round, but her team helped her stay calm and focused for the final day.

On Saturday, August 31, Ryu entered the FM Championship with a 36-hole lead but slipped to T6 after shooting a 78. Despite the rough round, she regained her confidence and fired a 64 in the final round, forcing the event into an extra hole. In the playoff, she made a birdie to claim her second LPGA Tour title.

The 23-year-old golfer spoke to the media, detailing her comeback from the Saturday slump.

"It's too hard, and it's too angry after the round," she said. "But my caddie and my other teammates said to me, just for today it's bad, and tomorrow it all comes through. Just trust yourself.
"Yesterday after the round and practicing for my shots and my putter, so just recover for everything for the problems. So today is really good at the start. I made some amazing," she added.
