"It was sneaky hard"- Ludvig Aberg battes tough course in chase of first BMW Championship victory
After finishing T40 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship last week, Ludvig Aberg finds himself in a good position to win the 2024 BMW Championship after Round 3. He is currently tied for third place with compatriot Alex Noren after carding 10-under at the Castle Pines Golf Club.
During a press conference after the conclusion of the third round, Ludvig Aberg was asked about the difficulty level of the course. In response, the Swedish labeled the course as 'hard', and said (via ASAP Sports):
"It was hard. It was sneaky hard. The wind was tricky. Obviously those first couple of holes were straight into, so they played very different from what they played yesterday. Plus the greens were firmer today, as well, from not having that much rain. It was tricky and you could see that on the scores today, but felt like we hung in there quite well," Aberg said.

Ludvig Aberg's claims on the tricky nature of the course may not come as a surprise, as the 24-year-old struggled in the opening round, carding double bogeys on the 9th and 10th hole. While the following round was comparatively better for him, Aberg hit a double bogey on the 11th hole in Round 3. He will be looking to put in an incredible performance in the last round in a bid to overtake current leader, Keegan Bradley and win his first BMW Championship.
