Jessica Korda takes to her Instagram account to wish all her fans a "merry little Christmas"
Jessica Korda is one of the many stars of world golf who took to social media to wish her fans a Merry Christmas. The elder Korda posted her greetings on Instagram, where she has more than 289,000 followers.
Korda posted a picture of herself with her husband, Johnny DelPrete, and their son, Greyson. She accompanied the post with the following text:
"Have yourself a merry Little Christmas"
The words used by Jessica allude to the title of one of the most popular Christmas songs in the world. It is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," written in 1943 by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane and popularized first by Judy Garland and then by Frank Sinatra.
Jessica Korda has been out of competitive golf since mid-2023, when she was expecting her son. Greyson was born in February 2024, just over two years after his parents got married (December 2021).
However, Korda has not been completely absent from the world of golf during this time. She has collaborated with the television broadcasts of several golf events, such as both the 2023 and 2024 editions of the Grant Thornton Invitational.
She has also been one of the most enthusiastic followers of her younger sister, Nelly Korda, who has won seven tournaments in 2024. It is common for Jessica to use her social media profiles to highlight Nelly's successes.
Jessica has had a 14-year career in professional golf. She has always played on the LPGA Tour, where she has six victories. The birth of her son will only mark a pause in her career, as she plans to return in 2026.
So said Jessica herself (via Sports Illustrated):
"I’m definitely itching to be able to play again, how much, I’m not so sure. I’ll take 2025 to assess and then per our maternity, 2026 is kind of what we’re shooting for."
Other golf stars who emulated Jessica Korda in wishing fans Merry Christmas
Jessica Korda was not the only golf star to send Christmas greetings to her fans on social media; in fact, numerous people and institutions associated with golf sent their message to users of all platforms.
One of them was Billy Horschel, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a photo of himself and his family under the Christmas tree. Trevor Immelman and Anthony Kim did the same.
Both LIV Golf and its teams, as well as many of its players, posted congratulatory messages on their respective X accounts. The Ladies European Tour account did the same.
Several players celebrated Christmas early with their fans when they received their invitations to The Masters 2025 and shared them on their social networks. These included Thriston Lawrence, Min Woo Lee, and Bryson DeChambeau.
