Jon Rahm’s LIV Golf rival says it’s a ‘dream come true’ to play the Olympics alongside the Spanish superstar

Jon Rahm is one of the big LIV names who will represent their country at the 2024 Olympics. Another Spanish LIV golfer who has made it to the Olympics is David Puig. At LIV Golf, Rahm plays for Legion XIII and Puig plays for Fireballs GC. They are thus competitors on the LIV circuit.

But the scenario is slightly different at the Olympics, as both golfers are representing the Spanish side. Puig displayed his elation at sharing the field with his compatriot Rahm. His words were quoted in a tweet shared on X (formerly Twitter):

“Making the Olympics alongside Jon Rahm is a dream come true. It makes me very excited and just very proud of myself and all the hard work that it's behind,” Puig said.

Apart from Rahm and David Puig, five more LIV golfers have qualified for the Olympics men's golf competition. The list has Abraham Ancer, Adrian Meronk, Joaquin Niemann, Carlos Ortiz, and Mito Pereira.
