Ladies European Tour Madelene Stavnar makes her dad get a tattoo for losing a bet, shares wholesome Olympics story
Ladies European Tour golfer Madelene Stavnar shared an interesting story ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Norwegian golfer is set to compete in this week's women's golf event at the Paris Olympics, and before the event, she revealed a story involving her father and the Olympics.
In 2018, Stavnar made a bet with her father: if she ever played in the Olympics, he would get a tattoo. Six years later, as she prepares to compete in the Olympics, she has made her dad follow through on the bet.
Madelene shared the story on her Instagram page, showing a video of her father, Thor Stavnar, getting his first tattoo. The tattoo features the famous five Olympic rings on his hand with "Paris 2024" written below it.
"Team Stavnar is ready for Paris! In 2018, dad and I signed a contract saying if I ever play in the Olympics, he will take a tattoo. And here we are," Stavnar wrote in the caption.
Stavnar has been playing on the Ladies European Tour since 2017 and is still seeking her maiden victory on the circuit. Last year, she was in contention for the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open but ended up finishing second. This week, she will compete in a stellar field of top-ranked players at the Olympics.
