LIV Golf Chicago prize purse: Prize money breakdown, winner's pay and more for the Individual Championship

The LIV Golf season is coming to an end, with the individual championship for the year being determined in Chicago. The LIV Golf Chicago event will be held from September 13 to 15 at Bolingbrook Golf Club, Bolingbrook, Illinois.

The battle for the individual championship has now boiled down to Legion XIII captain Jon Rahm and Torque GC captain Joaquin Niemann. Rahm is currently in the lead of the individual championship with 195.17 points, while Niemann follows with 192.20 points.

The tournament will boast its usual prize purse of $25 million. Of that, $20 million will be awarded for the individual tournament, while $5 million will be kept for the team tournament.

The individual winner's share is $4 million while the winning team will get $3 million. Apart from this, the winner of the individual championship is also set to receive a bonus of $18 million.

Speaking about chasing down Jon Rahm, Joaquin Niemann recently said via LIV Golf:

β€œHe's been playing great lately, so he's probably going to keep doing the same. I've got to try to bring my β€˜A’ game.”

Tyrrell Hatton's performance over the years has almost guaranteed his third-place finish in the individual standing, provided that Sergio Garcia does not win the event.

On the other hand, the likes of Anthony Kim, Bubba Watson and Kieran Vincent are in the relegation zone and will have to play well in order to avoid being dropped.
