The Tucson tournament is underway from March 17 and is scheduled to wrap up on March 19. It has a purse of $25 million, with $20 million for an individual event and $5 million for the team event.

It is important to note that Leishman took the lead after the first round and extended it after Saturday's round. He opened up with a 6-under-65 to grab the lead over Abraham Ancer, who slipped down to 18th position after the second round.

The 39-year-old Leishman talked about his performance in an interview and said:

"I’m enjoying my golf at the moment . Playing with no consequences over the offseason kind of gave me a little bit of confidence with some of the shots I hit and how they turned out."

He continued:

"It’ll be nice to be able to play in front of home crowds in Adelaide, which is a really cool city. They love their sport. Certainly excited to get down there and just showcase what we’ve got with LIV.”
