LIV Golf veteran lauds Joaquin Niemann for 'impressive golf' despite missing out on the Championship
Despite missing the LIV Golf Championship title by a small margin, Joaquin Niemann received praise from veteran Ian Poulter. The Englishman congratulated Niemann for having an impressive season.
On Sunday, September 15, Niemann fired a 4-under 66 in the final round of LIV Golf Chicago to finish joint runner-up. However, this wasn't enough for him to win the Championship, as Rahm clinched the title following his win at Bolingbrook.
On Monday, September 16, Ian Poulter shared a story on Instagram to congratulate both Niemann and Rahm.
"How Sunday ended. Well played great season Joaquin Niemann impressive golf. Jon Rahm congrats on a season win," he wrote.
Ian Poulter also finished his season with a strong performance, achieving a season-best 5th-place finish in the penultimate event of the year. He ended the season ranked 37th in the standings.
Niemann, Poulter, and other LIV Golfers will be in action this week for the LIV Golf Team Championship. The final event of the season will take place at Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas, Texas, from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22.
