"Looking more mobile" - Fans react to Tiger Woods back on the golf course ahead of The Masters

Tiger Woods, a five-time Masters winner, will return to the golf course next week within two months of playing his last tournament. The legendary American golfer has kept himself away from the course due to a leg injury. But not anymore, especially when it's a major tournament.

The 15-time major winner is just one Masters behind Jack Nicklaus to set the world record. He made a remarkable comeback at the 2019 Masters, wearing the green jacket for the fifth time. But since then, his performances have degraded and Woods has struggled to even walk the course for a long time due to his injury.

His car accident in 2021, forced him to undergo major surgeries, but he was still able to compete in major tournaments. Woods played at the 2022 Masters and finished at 47 and he will join Augusta's field next week.

Woods did not participate in any of the golf tournaments after the 2023 Genesis Invitational Open to prepare for the Masters. On March 31, Nuclr Golf shared a video of the Jupiter native taking shots at the Park, a community public golf course ahead of the Masters.

Fans are really excited to see him play again and want him to win the Masters this year. They even took to the comments section of the post shared by Nuclr Golf, to write:

"He’s going to win."
@NUCLRGOLF He’s going to win
"Man!!! I'm going to spinkle some $$$ on Eldrick. If someone can win at Augusta is him. I'm soo stoked. Let's go !!!"

"For him, it’s such an uphill battle" - Experts on Tiger Woods' chances of winning the 2023 Masters

Tiger Woods carded 70 in the opening round at the Masters a year ago. He made an impressive cut in the tournament and finished on 47.

Golf analysts recently spoke up about Tiger Woods's chances of winning the Masters in 2023. ESPN analyst Andy North said:

"To be able to get around there is so difficult. It’s just, for him it’s such an uphill battle. But in the back of your mind, you still believe that you get something rolling, you just never know."

While Curtis Strange said:

"It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he got us on the edge of our seat for the first couple of days, but can he sustain it? I think that L.A. kind of just made me look forward more to the Masters because he’s still got something in that body."

CBS golf analyst Trevor Immerlman added:

"If he somehow finds a way to get his name in and around that leaderboard come the second nine on Sunday afternoon it will be all systems go out there."

The Masters is scheduled to take place on April 6-9, 2023 at the permanent home of the major tournament, the Augusta National golf course.

It is important to note that Tiger Woods' best friend and business partner, Rory McIlroy, will also be competing in the tournament. He finished in second position in 2022.
