Lotte Championship past winners: Exploring the LPGA event winners over the years

The LPGA Tour will now head to ʻEwa Beach, Hawaii, for the 2024 Lotte Championship, which will be played from Wednesday, November 6, to Saturday, November 9, at Hoakalei Country Club in Hawaii.

The Lotte Championship will be the penultimate event on the LPGA before the CME Group Tour Championship, the season finale, which will take place later this month. This year, 120 players will compete for the increased purse size of $3 million and 500 CME points this week at Hoakalei Country Club.

This will be the 12th edition of the event, which was first played in 2012. The tournament was held at Ko Olina Golf Club in Kapolei, Hawaii, for the first few years until 2022. In 2012, Ai Miyazato became the first winner of the Lotte Championship, beating Meena Lee and Azahara Muñoz by a whopping four strokes.

Over the years, the tournament has witnessed the likes of Michelle Wie West, Lydia Ko, and Brooke Henderson lifting the title. Henderson is the only player to have won here twice, and the two victories came back to back. In 2018, she beat Azahara Muñoz by four shots handing the Spaniard her second runner-up finish here.

The following year, Henderson defeated Ji Eun-hee again by four strokes to become the first-ever multiple-time winner at the Lotte Championship.

Last year, then-rookie Grace Kim of Australia became the most recent champion at Hoakalei CC, beating Yu Liu and Sung Yu-jin in a playoff finish.
