Max Homa wins ‘bet’ against a fan as LA Lakers beat Minnesota Timberwolves
On Tuesday, October 22, Max Homa won a bet against a fan as the LA Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, the twist was that he agreed to the bet only after the game had finished.
Homa is a six-time winner on the PGA Tour and is currently ranked 27th in the world. Besides playing golf, he is also known for his social media presence, often interacting with his more than 683K followers.
During the Lakers and Timberwolves game, a fan named Austin Anderson challenged Homa to a bet.
"@Maxhoma If the T-Wolves beat the Lakers tonight can I have a signed golf ball? If they lose I’ll make a donation to a charity of your choice. The amount being the number of points the Lakers score."
Homa, who is rooting for the Lakers this season, did agree to the bet, but only after his favorite team posted a 110-103 win over the Timberwolves.
Earlier, the LA Lakers started the season with a win after losing four of six preseason matches. Anthony Davis emerged as the MVP for the team at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday, scoring 36 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.
