Min Woo Lee hilariously replies to Justin Thomas’ self-troll, warns him about Scottie Scheffler
Min Woo Lee had a hilarious response to Justin Thomas' self-trolling post about the Tour Championship. The Aussie golfer warned Thomas about Scottie Scheffler, picking the latter as his favorite for the event.
Lee's season ended at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he failed to advance to the next week. On the other hand, Justin Thomas is back in the Tour Championship after missing the playoffs last year.
On Monday, August 26, Justin Thomas shared a funny clip from the movie Dumb and Dumber, where he photoshopped his face onto Jim Carrey's character. In the hilarious scene, Carrey’s character says, "So you’re saying there’s a chance" to the woman, but here, Thomas says it to the FedEx Cup trophy.
However, Min Woo Lee didn’t share Thomas’ optimism and warned him about Scheffler.
"Its only scottie dw," he replied.
Justin Thomas is currently 30th in the FedEx Cup standings and will start the opening round of the Tour Championship at event-par, 10 strokes behind leader Scheffler. The first round will tee off on Thursday, August 29, at East Lake Golf Club.
How did Min Woo Lee perform this season?
Min Woo Lee had a memorable season, missing just three cuts in 17 starts during his first PGA Tour season. He made two top-10 finishes, both of which were runner-up finishes. Besides, he also played at the Paris Olympics, tying for 22nd.
Lee qualified for the FedEx Cup and tied for 22nd at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. However, he finished 60th in the standings and couldn't qualify for the final two events of the playoffs.
