Min Woo Lee names 2-time NBA MVP as his favorite athlete outside golf - “I really like him”

Min Woo Lee, the 25-year-old Australian golfer, recently spoke about his favorite athlete off the golf course. The 37th-ranked golfer chose Stephen Curry, a two-time NBA MVP winner, as his favorite.

This was disclosed by Lee during a rapid-fire segment of an interview with golf reporter, Daniel Rapaport.

Here's what he said:

"Steph Curry. Yeah, big basketball guy. I really like Steph, he plays golf and we talk now and then. I haven't played with him, but I'll say it'll happen before the end of the year."

Curry plays golf frequently, and he also oversees the Underrated Golf Tour, an initiative aimed at introducing the game to young children who might not otherwise have access to it.

This has made him a popular figure amongst golfers, evident from the fact that Max Homa and other players have given him shoutouts over the years.

Min Woo Lee's other revelations

A lot of ground was covered in the Speed Golf interview featuring Min Woo Lee. He was first asked to choose between two fellow players: Adam Scott and Jason Day. Lee refused to answer the question initially, but he later mentioned that Scott has his favorite swing on tour.

Lee was also asked to name his favorite television show from his childhood. He stated that it was a choice between Naruto and Pokémon. Pokémon, he revealed, is still of interest as he plays the games frequently. Speaking of games, Lee revealed that when he has a day off, he spends his free time playing Call of Duty.

In reference to the game itself, Rapaport questioned Lee about his ideal mulligan. Lee said that he would like to undo the triple bogey that he hit against Scottie Scheffler at the Players Championship. However, he was quick to add that the experience turned out to be a good learning curve for him.

"I learned so much from that, so I don't want to take it back, but I still ended up playing really well and was pretty proud of myself."
