Min Woo Lee passes on his learning from his Olympics outing to sister Minjee Lee - “You can get some smelly lies”

At the 2024 Olympics, Min Woo Lee was representing Australia in the men's golf. After the conclusion of four rounds at the Le Golf National, Lee finished tied for 22nd place with a score of 7-under. Even though Lee could not win a medal, the experience of playing at the Olympics was salutary.

After Lee, his sister Minjee Lee will now represent Australia in the women's golf at the 2024 Olympics. On August 4th, after the men's golf event concluded, Min Woo Lee was asked if he had any advice for his sister before she steps out to play at the Le Golf National.

He said:

"In the first round, where not to hit it, of course. I think she'll go pretty well here. It's a ball-striker's course. Obviously putting well. And yeah, I think tee-to-green, you need to be pretty proper. If you're in the rough, you can get some smelly lies. I think my sister will do just fine, and yeah, I mean, just go and have fun, which she does."

Minjee Lee is a seasoned professional on the LPGA Tour. Over the course of her professional golf career, she has won 10 events on the LPGA Tour including 2 Major championships, The Evian Championship (2021) and the U.S. Women's Open (2022).
