Mito Pereira and Sebastian Munoz officially join LIV Golf days ahead of league start
Mito Pereira and Sebastian Munoz are the latest names to leave the PGA Tour for the LIV Golf League before the beginning of the second season of the Saudi-backed series later this month.
Four out of 12 teams announced their roster on Wednesday. Both Pereira and Munoz will join David Puig in Torque GC, captained by Joaquinn Niemann. The new golf circuit is primarily sponsored by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
Smash GC, captained by Brooks Koepka, has also added Matthew Wolff to the team alongside Chase Koepka and Jason Kokrak.
The Majesticks, co-captained by Henrik Stenson and Ian Poulter, hasn't added anyone this year and remains unchanged as Lee Westwood and Sam Horsfield are the other names on the team.
It was reported last year that the reigning champion 4 Aces GC was planning to add Peter Uihlein for the second year alongside captain Dustin Johnson, Pat Perez, and Patrick Reed. It became official yesterday as Uihlein replaced Talor Gooch.

LIV Golf's new season details
The new LIV season will feature 14 events in six different countries, with eight of them being held in the United States. Each stop will have a purse size of $25 million for individual events and $5 million for team events.
Mayakoba’s El Camaleón Golf Course on Mexico’s Riviera Maya will host the season opener event, which will take place from February 24 to February 26.
The Saudi-backed circuit has found a television partnership for its second season. Last month, LIV signed a deal with the Nexstar-owned CW Network to broadcast all of its events under a revenue-sharing model. CW is named after its co-founders CBS and Warner Brothers. In 2022, Nexstar Media Group bought 75% shares of the network along with Warner Bros. and Paramount Global. It is the fifth-largest U.S. network.
Dustin Johnson is the inaugural season champion and the 4Aces GC, captained by Johnson himself, won the team event.
