“My caddie has game”: Bryson DeChambeau shares Gregory Bodine’s video on social media

Bryson DeChambeau is currently in Spain for LIV Golf's Andalucia event. Ahead of the tournament, he decided to have a bit of fun with his caddie, Gregory Bodine, while practicing.

DeChambeau said that he planned on shooting a new YouTube video with his caddie. Bodine dropped DeChambeau's bag for the day and picked up a golf club instead. The 2024 US Open winner posted a video on Snapchat of his caddie hitting a shot. Watch the video below:

He also posted a photo of his caddie and captioned it:

DeChambeau has had Gregory Bodine on his bag since the middle of 2023. Prior to DeChambeau, Bodine had a long stint caddying for Tony Finau.

Speaking about caddying for DeChambeau, Bodine said (via Golf Monthly):

"I have a blast with him. At the core, he is a very, very, very good person. One thing that makes me a good caddie is being good company, honestly. When you’re around someone 12 hours a day, you’d better keep things light, keep things funny. To not be annoying, I think that’s a job well done.”

Bryson DeChambeau is playing in the LIV Golf Andalucia event, just a week ahead of the fourth and final Major of the year, the Open Championship. The tournament is being held in Real Club Valderrama and has a prize purse of $25 million.

DeChambeau's team, Crushers GC, is currently leading the LIV Golf team standings.

"When we win together, we win together" - Bryson DeChambeau details his 'fated' relationship with caddie Gregory Bodine

According to Golf.com, Bryson DeChambeau and Gregory Bodine met last year and immediately clicked. After winning a few LIV Golf events together, DeChambeau and Bodine made their way to the US Open.

DeChambeau said that they made each other better, and their meeting was fate.

"I didn’t know where my game was. I had no idea what was going on. Greg was in a place where he was starting a business. He was in a place where he didn’t know what was going to go on. Some family stuff happened. It was just a weird moment for him and for me. I guess it was fate."

DeChambeau said that his relationship with his caddie is a light one. They are able to freely collaborate together to come up with the best possible solution.

"Whatever the result is, sometimes I’m like, Dang it, G-Bo, why didn’t we think of this? And it’s not his fault; it’s our fault together. When we win together, we win together. If we fail together, we fail together."

Going into the Open Championship, DeChambeau will hope for Bodine's support to win another Major championship this year.
