Nelly Korda watches Katie Ledecky win 800m gold, checks off bucket list item at the Paris Olympics- "That's something I watched as a kid"

World No. 1 golfer Nelly Korda is in Paris to compete in the ongoing Olympics. Before teeing off at Le Golf National, Korda witnessed Katie Ledecky claim her second gold medal in Paris, winning the Women's 800m freestyle swimming.

At a pre-tournament press conference for the Women's golf event, Nelly Korda was asked about which Olympic sports she had managed to catch. The world number one golfer revealed swimming was one of the two sports she had watched, and went on to describe her experience. She said:

"Swimming. I caught Katie Ledecky win the 800 which is really cool and a couple of the relays. So that was really exciting. That's something that I watched as a kid was swimming and gymnastics. So getting to do that in person was definitely a bucket list thing."

Golf fans will get to witness Nelly Korda in action at Le Golf National on August 7th. Korda will tee off at 9:55 AM (local Paris time) alongside Jin Young Ko (South Korea) and Ruoning Yin (China). A lot of eyes will be on Korda, as she is the defending champion, having secured gold at the delayed Tokyo Olympics.
