Nelly Korda whips out her winter golf clothes amid drop in temperatures
Nelly Korda was recently seen sporting her winter wear in an image in a post by LPGA TOUR on their official Instagram page on December 7, 2024. The American professional was featured there along with some of the other prominent women golfers.
In the photo posted by LPGA TOUR, fans could spot Korda walking while holding her Spyder golf gear. She was seen laughing with the signature Taylor Made grey and black patterned beanie on her head. The golfer was wearing a green jacket and black winter gloves by Nike. Nelly Korda matched her black trousers with a black pullover underneath her jacket with a black Nike scarf. LPGA TOUR wrote in the caption:
"POV: It's time to get out the winter golf gear"
This particular image of Nelly Korda was taken at the AIG Women's Open 2024 that took place on August 22nd. She competed against others at The Old Course in St. Andrews.
Although she opened her day with a total of 8 birdies in Round 1, things did not go in her favor. Korda finished Round 4 with only 3 birdies at the 6th, 11th and 18th holes. With an overall score of -5, she tied for second position on the leaderboard. Below the Instagram post, fans were quick to express their thoughts in the comments:

Apart from Nelly Korda, the LPGA Tour posted pictures of 3 other women golfers. Esther Henseleit, Lydia Ko and Mao Saigo were also spotted flaunting their winter gear. Esther and Lydia were wearing dark blue and black-green combo winter outfits respectively. Mao could be seen sporting her puffy white winter jacket from Puma, sponsored by Shimadzu.
Overall Performance of Nelly Korda in 2024
Till August, the 26-year-old pro golfer won six out of seven events in which she took part. Her loss at the AIG Championship was unexpected for the fans. Lydia Ko took the win in this tournament with a total score of -7. As reported by nbcsports.com, Nelly said in the post-match interview:
"Listen, it’s golf. I’m going to mess up and unfortunately, I messed up over the weekend twice in two penalizing ways coming down the stretch. Theoretically, that’s what kind of cost me the tournament.”
However, Nelly Korda has made 13 cuts and won seven of them among all the 16 events she participated in 2024. She picked up the win the Chevron Championship, the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship and the Ford Championship. Nelly also went on to ace the LPGA Drive On Championship 2024 and The ANNIKA Driven By Gainbridge At Pelican.
The 2020 Summer Olympics gold medal winner tied for the 5th place at the Kroger Queen City Championship. She also secured the same rank in the leaderboard of the CME Group Tour Championship. Nelly Korda concluded her run for this year by winning the LPGA Tour Player Of The Year award for 2024.
