Nick Dunlap escapes lawsuit, enters PGA circuit as free agent

Earlier this year, it was reported that American golfer Nick Dunlap was involved in a legal battle with his former agency GSE Worldwide and former agent Kevin Canning. Dunlap, who had signed with GSE earlier this year, looked to get out of his contract, citing breach of contract.

As per Dunlap and his team, Canning disparaged Dunlap's parents. This led to Canning counter-suing in response to Dunlap and his team. However, court records now suggest the legal battle has been settled.

A statement from the agency read (via Sports Business Journal):

"GSE is very pleased to have this matter resolved and we wish Nick and his family the best."

It's also worth noting that Nick Dunlap has been removed from GSE Worldwide's social media channels, and he is not listed on its website either. Aside from the legal battle, Dunlap is having an amazing time on the PGA Tour and is a front-runner for the Rookie of the Year award.

In 2023, Nick Dunlap won the US Amateur Championship, and earlier this year, he became the first amateur since 1991 to register a victory on the PGA Tour. Dunlap won the The American Express in January.
