"Not even Tiger could make me buy an umbrella for $150": Fans react to Tiger Woods' 'ridiculous' Sun Day Red pricing
Tiger Woods is back in the news, but not for his performances on the golf course. His Sun Day Red brand launched a rainy day line on Tuesday, July 16, and the pricing has the golf world buzzing.
NUCLR GOLF reported that Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red rainy day line includes a jacket for $550, pants for $500, and an umbrella for $150. Fans have reacted to the prices, with most calling them excessively high.
One user on social networking site X (formerly Twitter) posted the following:
"Not even Tiger could make me buy an umbrella for 150$"
Another user said the following:
"Love Tiger but this is ridiculous pricing."
Let's take a look at some of the other reactions on X:
"These prices are insane especially considering the inflationary times we are currently in," one fan posted.
"Not a chance lol," another user wrote.
"I'm probably one of the biggest fanboys of Tiger but not enough to pay so much for a piece of clothes," another fan said.
Launched this Tuesday by Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red brand, the line is called the 'Weather Series'. In addition to jackets, pants and umbrellas, it includes long-sleeve T-shirts ($300), short-sleeve rain shirts ($500), and several types of hats ($40-$50).
Tiger Woods launched the Sun Day Red brand at the start of the 2024 season during the week of the Genesis Invitational. Woods partnered with TaylorMade to launch the brand after ending his 27-year relationship with Nike.

Woods had success wearing the color and never gave it up. Wearing red, he won the US Junior Amateur three times, the US Amateur three times, several collegiate tournaments, 15 major championships, and 82 PGA Tour events, among many others in the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
