"Our balls are quite a bit different" —Brooks Koepka's response to Charles Barkley's question makes for a 'viral moment' at The Showdown

During the Showdown, Charles Barkley asked a double-entendre question to Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau. However, Koepka's subtle response stole the show.

On Tuesday, December 17, Koepka and DeChambeau competed at Shadow Creek Golf Club in the first-ever LIV x PGA Tour Showdown. The LIV duo faced Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler, who represented the PGA Tour. Charles Barkley, the former NBA star, was part of the broadcasting team for TNT Sports.

During an on-course conversation, Barkley had a curious query regarding Brooks Koepka and DeChambeau's balls.

"I asked Trevor how different it is playing a different type of ball for somebody else," he asked. "How different are your guys' balls?"

However, one might think it was a genuine question, but it didn’t come across that way to the audience. The LIV Golf duo initially appeared awkward but then proceeded to give as genuine a response as they could.

"Our balls are quite a bit different," Brooks Koepka replied. "We'll be alright. It will be just fine, I ain't worried about it."

DeChambeau also chipped in to share his views.

"I worked with his ball yesterday, it should be just fine," he replied.

Soon after this, the LIV Golf duo burst into laughter.

What happened to Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka at the Showdown? LIV Golf duo's performance explored

LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau were outperformed by Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy of the PGA Tour in the first-ever PGA x LIV Showdown. The PGA Tour duo didn’t give them any chances in any of the three stages of the 18-hole face-off at Shadow Creek Golf Club.

The made-for-TV event was divided into three stages, each played in a different format across six-hole stretches. However, the LIV Golf team was only able to win a single hole throughout the day.

In the first stage, played in a fourball format, the PGA Tour won three holes and halved one, completing a clean sweep. In the second phase, played in a foursome format, LIV put up a tough fight, winning one hole and tying three. However, the PGA Tour duo again proved superior by winning two holes.

The final six holes were played in a singles format, and once again, the PGA Tour pair didn’t give DeChambeau and Koepka any chances. They won two holes and tied two to finish the match on the sixteenth hole.
