Paige Spiranac gives "clear" update on "very scary" money scam in her name

After a career as an amateur and later as a professional golfer, Paige Spiranac has been able to make quite a name for herself on social media. On Instagram and YouTube, Spiranac has many followers with whom she interacts via Q&A sessions and also by posting golf-related content.

However, with all the fame that Spiranac has achieved, there are avenues for her name to be taken advantage of. Recently, Spiranac addressed the issue of her being impersonated by others to carry out scams. During a Q&A session, a fan asked Spiranac if she was a part of the money scam done in her name.

Spiranac answered:

"So this is getting out of control and honestly it's very scary. "I'm going to make this very, very clear: I only have my verified accounts and my Passes account. Anyone claiming to be me or claiming to be an associate of mine is fake. "I will not ask you for money. Please do not give anyone money who is claiming to be me. I do not have a Google Hangouts account, a WhatsApp account, or a Telegram account. Please, please, please protect yourself and do not fall for these scams."

Paige Spiranac recently spoke about a mental breakdown she had

Even though Paige Spiranac is not playing professional golf, she hasn't completely left the sport. As mentioned above, Spiranac still plays the game and creates content around it on social media. Recently, Spiranac detailed a mental breakdown she had at a golf simulator.

In the same Q&A session as above, a fan asked Spiranac if she had any ups and downs regarding her game. As a response to this question, Spiranac posted a video in which she detailed how the previous two days had gone for her. The 31-year-old said:

"You have no idea. Let me just describe the last two days for you. So I actually have been playing pretty good golf. Wentto the simulator yesterday, was feeling quite confident. I don't know what happened. I had a full-blown mental breakdown. I couldn't hit a shot, I didn't even know how to hold the golf club at one point. I was on the verge of tears."

While Spiranac mentioned that she left the simulator without knowing whether she would play again, the following day she went through a golf lesson which helped fix her swing. Spiranac concluded her statement by saying she was in a "spiraling" state of hating golf and loving golf.
