Paige Spiranac reminisces her nervous start at the Creator Classic - "My hands were shaking"

Paige Spiranac, a former pro golfer turned content creator, was invited to the Creator Classic at East Lake this year. It was part of Tour Championship week and it gave golfers who play well on camera the chance to compete in a tournament. This is something Spiranac has experience in since she used to be a professional player.

Despite that, it's been years since she last played in a pro setting, and she admitted to being a little nervous at the event. She was with other highly touted and popular creators, and the nerves seemingly set in. Spiranac wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

"That time I got to tee it up at East Lake for the Creator Classic! My hands were shaking."

However, the former LPGA Tour star, who is the most-followed female golf content creator across all social media platforms, teed it up nicely. If she was really shaking, she didn't show it on her drive.

Spiranac calmly sent the ball flying into the fairway to a round of applause from the crowd. She also calmly picked up her tee and moved on, not showing any of the nerves.

The former pro was joined by Tyler Toney (Dude Perfect), Garrett Clark (Good Good), Fat Perez (Bob Does Sports), Brad Dalke (Good Good), Aimee Cho, Sean Walsh (Good Good), Roger Steele, Wesley Bryan, George Bryan, Micah Morris, Peter Finch, Luke Kwon, Mason Nutt, Mac Boucher, and Gabby DeGasperis (Golf Girl).

Paige Spiranac expressed a desire beforehand not to finish last, but expected to do so. Ultimately, she didn't finish last as she shot two over par for the eight holes. Fat Perez was five over.

Paige Spiranac reveals reasoning behind casual outfits in golf

One thing noticeable in the video that Paige Spiranac shared is the lack of standard golf attire. It isn't what she normally wears in her own content, but it's also not what is typically worn in golf tournaments.

This is intentional, as Spiranac has always worn unconventional outfits on the golf course. She finds them to be more comfortable, stating via the Daily Mail her reasoning:

"I was a competitive gymnast before I switched over to golf. And so, I was so comfortable being in leotards and when I started playing golf I didn't have enough money to go out and buy a whole new golf appropriate wardrobe. So I would often wear athletic wear that I just had in my closet and that was leggings and tank tops."

She also learned how to play on golf courses that were public and thus did not have strict dress codes. Spiranac encouraged others to do so to not be alienated by the attire.
