Paige Spiranac shows off photography skills with incredible photo of a golf course
Former US golfer Paige Spiranac has emerged as a content creator after her early retirement from the sport. She is one of the most prominent figures in the golfing world with a whopping 4 million followers on Instagram.
Although she no longer plays professionally, she is still connected to golf through her content on social media. Recently, she shared a picture of a golf course on her Instagram stories. The wide shot overlooked a corner of a golf course with a waterbody adjacent to it.
Spiranac has engaged in modeling and has published her calendars in the past. She also shares content related to ongoing sports events, be it golf tournaments or NFL seasons.
Spiranac's early retirement came as a shock to many. She was only 29 years old when she announced her retirement in 2017. The influencer cited mental health issues at the time. A few years later, she shared that not playing under competitive pressure has improved her game.
"Social media can be a pretty depressing place," - When Paige Spiranac opened up about criticism
Paige Spiranac appears to be very confident presently, but she has said that wasn't always the case. In July this year, she told Fox Business that when she was building her brand, she was really "sensitive" and had to develop confidence to overcome that.
"I realized I had to step back and do a lot of work on myself to make sure that I was confident in who I was and that I was creating the brand I wanted to create. Over the years, I have realized that it’s OK. People are allowed to have their opinions,"
The 31-year-old has been the subject of criticism, especially for her fashion choices. Spiranac said she thinks sometimes those comments can be "helpful."
She said,
"I honestly think that even sometimes, although it can come off as criticism or hateful, I don’t think a lot of people actually truly mean it in that way. I think, in some way, they’re trying to be helpful. So, even if I get a comment that is critiquing me, I try to hear it out because maybe I can learn from it, I can better myself, or I can adjust,"
The 'OG Insta golf girl' as she calls herself in her Instagram bio, also talked about social media and how she deals with it.
"Life’s hard. Social media can be a pretty depressing place if you allow yourself to be bothered by those certain things. So, if you just take a step back and see it in a different light, social media can be unbelievably positive and a great community,"
Paige Spiranac was last seen at the 2024 Creator Classic where she competed with 15 other golf creators. The tournament was organized by the PGA Tour at East Lake on the eve of the Tour Championship. Unfortunately for her, Spiranac didn't make the cut for the final playoff.
