What has Paige Spiranac accomplished in golf?

Paige Spiranac began her golf career at the age of 12, and quickly established herself as one of the top junior players in the country. By the time she finished high school, she was ranked in the Top 25 of the world amateur rankings.

Spiranac played in U.S. collegiate golf for three seasons (one for the University of Arizona and two for San Diego State University). During this period, she had several achievements and participated in several teams' victories.

But without a doubt, the greatest sporting success of her golf career was her only professional victory. Spiranac played professionally for over a year, playing primarily on the U.S. Cactus Tour.

Her victory came in an event held in May 2016 at Orange Tree Golf Resort in Phoenix, Arizona. Spiranac carded a final round 68 to tie with the then World No. 1 ranked amateur, Hannah O'Sullivan, and then beat her on the first playoff hole.

The Cactus Tour is a developmental circuit that still operates today, with locations primarily in Arizona. Several important players have emerged from there, among them the double Major champion and 6-time LPGA Tour winner So-yeon Ryu.

During her journey through professional golf, Spiranac had other good performances. Among the most impressive was making the cut at the 2016 Ladies Scottish Open on the Ladies European Tour. There she finished T58 with a score of 9 over.
