PGA Tour winner picks prefer Charlie Woods’ swing over peak Tiger’s

PGA Tour winner Michael S. Kim has chosen Charlie Woods' swing over peak Tiger's. His comments came after Junior Woods made his first hole-in-one during the final round of the PNC Championship.

On Sunday, December 22, Charlie Woods and Tiger Woods carded a 15-under 57 to finish at 28-under alongside Bernhard and Jason Langer. Although they lost in the playoff hole, Charlie had a memorable day as he made his first-ever ace earlier in the round.

The PGA Tour shared a clip of the historic ace on its X account. Reacting to the video, Michael S. Kim made a bold claim.

"I'm not sure if I’d pick Tiger’s 2000 swing over 2024 Charlie’s swing for aesthetic purposes haha," he wrote.

"It was just a perfect 7-iron" - Charlie Woods reflects on career's first ever ace

During the post-round interview of the PNC Championship, Charlie Woods reflected on his ace on the par 3, 4th hole.

"It was awesome having Dad there," he said. "That was so much fun. It was just a perfect 7-iron, little cut in there. Of course never got to see it go in. So that sucks. But that's all right."

During the ace, Tiger Woods wasn’t watching the shot and found out about it seconds later.

"We heard it up on the green on the right and left but we were totally unsure until the TV confirmed it," Tiger Woods added.
"And we went nuts. I don't know what we did but we enjoyed it. It was an unbelievable moment. I was talking to Todd out there, and that two-hole stretch, that was his first eagle he ever made out there on 3, and then his first hole-in-one."

Notably, Charlie wasn’t the only one to ace a hole on Sunday, as Paddy Harrington, son of Padraig Harrington, also sank a hole-in-one in the final round.

This was Team Woods' fifth start at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club and the second time they finished as runners-up. Previously, the duo came close in 2021, when they shot eleven straight birdies to finish two strokes behind Team Daly.

As for Bernhard Langer, this was his fourth victory with Jason and his sixth win overall. The total purse for this year's event was $1.085 million, and they took home $200,000 for their successful title defense. Team Woods bagged $80,000 for their second-place finish.
