"Please Kis never again"; "My Eyes" - Fans react to Kevin Kisner's skin show during the Presidents Cup win celebrations
Following Team USA's win at the Presidents Cup, Kevin Kisner had a wild celebration. The team's vice-captain marked the triumph by removing his shirt, but fans online weren't impressed by the act.
On Sunday, September 29, Team USA won six of the twelve singles matches, halved three, and lost just three to secure an 18.5–11.5 victory over the International team. This was their tenth straight victory at the biennial event and one of the biggest in the tournament's history.
After the team's historic win, USA vice-captain Kisner went shirtless while celebrating. For the uninitiated, he had promised Max Homa to take his shirt off if the latter holed out in his match. After Homa holed out on the first hole of the singles, Kisner kept his promise and went shirtless following the team's win.
Fans online had mixed reactions to Kevin Kisner's act.
"So good!! Love you guys @Maxhoma @K_Kisner," one user posted.
"Liv is a circus they said. Wtf is this," another fan wrote.
Some fans reacting to clips of Kisner shared by Nuclr Golf and others on X also asked him not to repeat this.
"Please Kis never again," one fan wrote.
"Golfers are really simple people," this fan remarked.
"My EYES," another fan wrote.
"Took him several beers but he paid up!" this fan commented.
"It was obviously on my mind the whole week" - Max Homa on Kevin Kisner keeping his promise at the Presidents Cup
During the winner's press conference, Max Homa said he thought about Kevin Kisner delivering on his bet within a second of holing out on the first hole at Royal Montreal.
"I looked back, and he (Kisner) was scampering down 9 fairway trying to run away from me, I think," he said. "He left me a good four minutes before that. I don't blame him."
Homa revealed that the bet was on his mind throughout the tournament.
"I basically had three checkmarks this week. One was to win the Presidents Cup with these boys. Two was to have a great time. And three, to get Kis to take his shirt off. So I went three for three," he added.
Notably, this is Team USA's 13th win at the Presidents Cup, and they have lost just once, and are undefeated since 1998.
