Presidents Cup singles matches Sunday tee times and pairings explored ft. Scottie Scheffler vs. Hideki Matsuyama
The Presidents Cup's final day will see head-to-head singles matches between the International team and Team USA. After three days of intense matches, the US team will enter the final day with a four-point advantage over the International team.
The tournament's first day saw the US team sweep all five contests in the fourball matches. However, the International team turned the tables and won in all five matches on Day 2 during the foursome event.
With the score even, the US Team picked up momentum for the third day of the Presidents Cup. The International team picked up one victory in the fourball matches on Day 3, while the US team won the other three matches. Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim beat Wyndham Clark and Keegan Bradley in the morning matches.
The situation was the same for the afternoon foursome sessions, with the International team taking one win, and the US team taking four. Brian Harman and Max Homa lost to the home-favorite pair of Taylor Pendrith and Adam Scott.
Speaking about the morning session of the third day, International team captain Mike Weir said via ASAP Sports:
"I think like I said all along, it's the ebbs and flows. We had massive ebbs and flows the first two days, and this was a little more -- the close matches out there. But we're still in a good spot. It wasn't ideal, but the guys are ready for this afternoon. No problem."
The fourth day of the Presidents Cup will bring about several entertaining pairs for matches. Hideki Matsuyama will take on Scottie Scheffler, while Jason Day will be up against Xander Schauffele in the opening match of the day.
