"Pretending we are Team USA Tennis"- Scottie Scheffler and his caddie enjoy time on court at the Paris Olympics
The 2024 Olympics are underway, and Scottie Scheffler is in Paris for the event. While Scheffler will be seen in action at Le Golf National on August 1, the World No. 1 recently uploaded a story in which he was seen enjoying himself along with his long-time caddie, Ted Scott.
In the story uploaded by Scheffler, he and Ted Scott can be seen serving the tennis ball. Scheffler was also spotted hitting a few strokes. The 2024 Masters champion added a humorous caption to the story. He wrote:
"Just pretending we are Team USA Tennis @jtedscott #parisolympics"
The 2024 Olympics is the first time Scottie Scheffler will be playing in the Olympics, unlike his teammates Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele. Scheffler arrives in France for the Olympics on a strong run of form throughout the year.
Including his 2024 Masters win, Scheffler has won a total of six events this year, with his last win coming at the Travelers Championship last month. Scheffler recently played at The Open Championship, where he finished T7.
It will be interesting to see if he is able to win a second consecutive Olympic gold for Team USA in golf. Xander Schauffele and Nelly Korda won first place in the men's and women's golf competitions at the last Olympics in Tokyo, giving the United States gold medals in both events.
