Richard T. Lee threatens John Catlin's spot in LIV Golf after winning Indonesian Masters
Richard T. Lee’s victory at the 2024 Indonesian Masters has put John Catlin's chance of playing in the LIV Golf League next year under threat. The winner of the International Series Ranking will secure a spot in the Saudi league for next season.
Catlin is the current holder of that spot, with 900.58 points. However, with Lee winning the Indonesian Masters on Sunday, November 3, he has moved up in the standings to secure the second spot in the standings with 660.64 points.
Several LIV golfers competed at the BMI Indonesian Masters, an Asian Tour event, and played well. Kieran Vincent finished in fourth place, and Danny Lee tied for 13th. John Catlin also competed in the tournament and tied for sixth place.
Notably, LIV Golf has a limited field, and at the end of the season, only the top 24 secure their spots for the next season. Moreover, players can also earn an opportunity to compete on the Saudi circuit by being top of the International Series Ranking. Currently, Catlin is leading the standings, followed by Lee and Peter Uihlein.
Here is a look at the current International Series Rankings:
- 1. John Catlin
- 2. Richard T. Lee
- 3. Peter Uihlein
- 4. Ben Campbell
- 5. Lee Chieh Po
- 6. Michael Maguire
- 7. Carlos Ortiz
- 8. Caleb Surratt
- 9. David Puig
- 10. Phachara Khongwatmai

“I just switched putters, I think three weeks ago, and it's really working. I mean, it's built my confidence up a lot, and I think if I just maintain that putting, I think I'll play pretty well in the next few events."
