Ryan Fox pushes Joaquin Niemann further down on world rankings despite LIV Golf Virginia win
Ryan Fox made a notable jump in the Official World Golf Ranking following his win at the 2024 RBC Canadian Open. It pushed several competitors down, including Chilean golfer Joaquin Niemann, who recently claimed victory at the LIV Golf Virginia event.
An X user, Nosfearatu, updated the current list in a June 9 post. He put the list of players in the caption of this post. Here' the X post:
Scottie Scheffler remains number one, followed by Rory McIlroy in second place. Meanwhile, Ryan Fox is currently holding the No. 32 spot ahead of Joaquin Niemann, who's at 77th. Although Niemann recently won the LIV Golf Virginia event, this does not count towards OWGR points. LIV Golf is still not sanctioned for the ranking process. His career-best ranking came in 2022 at No.15 after strong performances on the PGA Tour.
On the other hand, Ryan Fox entered the RBC Canadian Open ranked 75th in the world. Fox's highest rank was No. 23 in October 2022, following his DP World Tour season. Earlier this year, Ryan Fox rose from No. 119 to 71 after winning the Myrtle Beach Classic on the PGA Tour. With that, let's look at Ryan Fox's victory at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open in detail
