Sam Burns gets real about the hockey-themed Rink hole at RBC Canadian Open after a disappointing playoff

Sam Burns candidly reflected on the hockey-themed Rink Hole at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open. Last week, on the PGA Tour, the players competed at the TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course).

In the four-day event, Sam Burns managed to tie for the lead with Ryan Fox but had an unfortunate moment on the greens in the playoff and lost the title. In the post-round press conference, Burns was asked about his opinion on the 14th hole of the golf course, known as the Rink Hole. He said (via ASAP Sports):

"The Rink Hole, it's awesome. It's very fun. You know it's going to be pretty rowdy walking in there. I've always enjoyed it."

Sam Burns started the final round of the 2025 RBC Canadian Open on the first tee hole. He made two back-to-back birdies and then carded a bogey on the fifth and then a birdie on the next hole.

He made five back-to-back birdies from the tenth to the 14th and added one more on the 18th for an 8-under 62 round. But he struggled in the playoffs and lost the title to Ryan Fox.
