Sanderson Farms Championship defending champion Luke List gives crucial injury update

Ahead of the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship, defending champion Luke List provided an injury update ahead of the first round. The 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship is slated to take place from October 3 to October 6 at Country Club of Jackson.

In the press conference, List revealed he suffered an injury in the summer and tried to play through it. However, the American golfer added that he decided to focus on rehab in the last three to six weeks as things didn't improve.

When asked about the injury he suffered, the 2-time PGA Tour winner revealed he had a herniated disc which had been troubling him for a while now.

"Yeah, I have a herniated disc in my neck, and it's been nagging a little bit. It's nothing that's like a blown-out disc or anything, but it has affected my strength in my left side of my body, and it's just been a little bit of an issue the last year. Most of us out here have some sort of injury or some sort of nagging thing that we're dealing with," Luke List said.

Further, the 39-year-old golfer claimed that it's not easy being healthy and claimed that an athlete is never 100%, which was something he needed to adapt to.
