Scottie Scheffler gets a lot of laughs with his church and NFL routine

Scottie Scheffler was a guest on the latest edition of Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take podcast. The video was posted this Wednesday, September 11, and Scheffler proved to have a pretty funny off-season routine.

The World No. 1 spoke to the podcast hosts about the National Football League (NFL) season that has just begun. In this regard, Scottie Scheffler revealed that he and his wife Meredith have a football related routine that involves well-known analyst Stu Feiner.

This was part of what Scheffler had to say:

"Sundays are such great days, like, I love the NFL and like, we got into a good routine last year of like waking up, I'd watched Sports Advisors and then we go to church, come home, place some bets and then just sit around and watch football. It's awesome." [0:07 - 0:19]

The hosts of the Pardon My Take podcast were surprised to learn that Scottie Scheffler watches Stu Finer on Sundays before going to church. One of them joked that it was "the right way to do it."

The 2024 - 2025 NFL season began on September 5, just days after Scottie Scheffler won the 2024 TOUR Championship, the season-ending event on the PGA Tour.

The season is not over for Scheffler, however, as he still has the Presidents Cup to play in. He will then rest for a few months, probably until November, when he is expected to defend his Hero World Challenge title in Albany, Bahamas.

Stu Feiner's reaction to Scottie Scheffler's comments

Stu Feiner is a well-known sports betting analyst who got his start in the business in the 1980s. He is currently one of the hosts of the Sports Advisors show on Barstool Sports. He also occasionally appears on podcasts in the same family, such as Pardon My Take.

Feiner was quick to respond to Scottie Scheffler's words about following his work on Sports Advisor. Here's what the analyst posted on X (formerly Twitter):

"So so honored, grateful, blessed. I have reached the top of the mountain. Scotty I want to hug you."

Scheffler will soon join the American team that will play in the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal Golf Club from September 24-29. The team also includes Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, Sahith Theegala, Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Brian Harman, Russell Henley, and Max Homa.

The world's top-ranked golfer will head to Canada on the back of the best season of his PGA Tour career. Scheffler has won seven tournaments in 2024, including the Masters Tournament, the Players Championship, four Signature Events and the TOUR Championship.

To cap the season, he also won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
